I took this while on mission this summer. I was driving back and forth between the Colville Indian Reservation in Washington State and the Cheyenne River and Pine Ridge Indian Reservations in South Dakota. Just as I was leaving Washington I happened upon this prayer chapel and it's sign welcoming all who wanted to come in, rest and pray. I'm a lover of log cabins and churches and this one was provided by a family who wanted to honor their deceased father. Everything about this photo invokes nostalgia.
I am a missionary to Native Americans on reservations throughout the United States. This calling has only intensified my life long love affair with travel and photography and has opened a whole new world of possibilites in the artistic realm. I find in nature a place to worship my Creator...a place to renew my soul. I attempt to capture that feeling in my photos.
